Durian

The durian is the fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio and the Malvaceae family (although some taxonomists place Durio in a distinct family, Durionaceae. Widely known and revered in southeast Asia as the "king of fruits", the durian is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk.

The edible flesh emits a distinctive odour, strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. Some people regard the durian as fragrant; others find the aroma overpowering and offensive. The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust. The odour has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia.

The durian is native to Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. There is some debate as to whether the durian is native to the Philippines, or was introduced. The durian is grown in other areas with a similar climate; it is strictly tropical and stops growing when mean daily temperatures drop below 22 °C (72 °F).

Wedding Online Planning

Author: Dorsey Velasquez

Planning a wedding online is a great and easy way to plan your special day when you don't have the time or the help to do so. Although wedding planning can be a very stressful time it should be fun and an enjoyable experience since you are only going to do this one time in your life. By using my Satellite Internet Broadband it makes my wedding planning all that much easier. I am able to do all of my wedding research online in the comfort of my own home at my own pace. I am able to shop around and figure out prices according to my budget.

The best part is that before I vist the venue or the store where I need to go. I can do all of my research online and be prepared once I arrive at the store. Going to a store without being prepared is not the best strategy to have. Often you can get roped into items that you know are not within your budget. By shopping around online with satellite internet service Texas, you can find the item you are looking for as well as the location that sells it for the most reasonable price.

Planning your wedding should be a fun, happy experience. It shouldn't stress you out. It also shouldn't leave you with lint in your pockets. That's why you need to shop around.

Safe Summertime Fun for Kids

Content by Ramiro Mueller

Summer time is upon us once again and it is time for our kids to want to spend most of their time outdoors. There is no more school work tying them down so it is time to let them let their hair down. We can let them and let them do it safely.

If your child loves to ride bike, always remember to put their safety helmet on. Do not leave it up to them. Make sure it is on. I also recommend elbow pads and knee pads. There is nothing that can ruin a great day faster than a skinned knee or elbow and we, as moms and dads, would much rather watch them riding back and forth in front of the house than wipe away their tears. Put sunblock on them. Summertime sun is relentless. If possible attach a waterbottle to their bike. It is very important that we keep them well hydrated in the summer heat.

If by chance you cannot be at home and you must leave your child home alone, I recommend investing in a home security alarm from a good New Jersey home securityprovider complete with strong locks. After all, keeping our young ones safe is what its all about.

The Family Moves To The City

Thanks to guest blogger Erica Wess for the post.

My family and I decided it was time for change. We decided to move from the small town we had lived in all of our lives and head to the big city. We were all nervous about the move and how we would adjust. But there were just so many more opportunities for everyone in the new city.

Since it was our first move, we quickly learned how time consuming and overwhelming a move can really be! My husband and I began packing all of our things and seen just how much stuff we had. We decided some things needed to go, and we had a garage sale to make a little money for the things we didn't need. Our two boys, who are 7 and 11, had a hard time letting go of some of their things, but were finally happy to let it go.

It was my responsibility to handle the change of address and transferring of utilities. In addition to filling out a form at the postal service I notified all of our business accounts of the new address. I also signed up for home security systems with a new company, as our current company was not available in the new city. So far the move has been good. We are all still adjusting to the city life. It is a big change! I am happy that the move went smoothly. It was such hard work!

Television as Pastime

Being a wife of a Pilot is not that easy. I get to see my husband two or three days a week because of his work. I'm glad I have television to keep me company if I am tired of reading. I also go to my friend's house and watch television with them. Watching my favorite shows like the hills, Grey's Anatomy and more are my pastime. I can also record my favorite shows if I missed it on prime time show. I am happy with the channels I watch with our TV but sometimes I am thinking of switching to different provider. I found a great package for a very low price from http://www.blogtelevision.net. It's a good option for home television and you can watch from 150 channels to 225 channels depending on the package you want. But I can't make a decision without consulting my husband. While he was browsing online like he always does whenever he doesn't have a flight schedule he found cox.com, a third-largest cable entertainment and broadband services provider in the country. It's a service provider that connects us with the people, entertainment and information that matter most. It's a good communication services company that would help you connect to your people and family. We are both confused as we also found a website called timewarnercable.com as another option in TV programming. Hard to make decision right away especially now that I am kind of busy for my upcoming trip to the Philippines. I guess we need more time to think of what to do, and what to get.

Ruby Tuesday - I Heart Chocolate

I heart Chocolate, yes I do. I pick the kind of chocolate I eat. I sometimes get a bunch of chocolate as my sister in law works in a chocolate factory as manager and sometimes she gives lots of chocolate to me everytime we visited them in Ariz0na. But this one if my husband's V-day present.

My trip to Boston

Guest post written by Betsey Klein

I just got back this weekend from a trip to Boston to visit my oldest granddaughter that’s interning at law firm there for the summer.

I had never been to the city before so I offered to pay for a historical trolley tour pass for both of us on Saturday. Kelsey also thought it sounded like a fun idea and was excited about it. On the tour the drivers had microphones and would narrate about the historical sites we were going by like Bunker Hill and Paul Revere’s house. But one time when we were sitting in the back I was having a hard time hearing our driver. We got off at a stop and ate lunch and caught another trolley a little while later. I asked Kelsey during lunch that let’s sit closer to the driver so I can hear everything better. So we sat right behind the driver and I still had trouble hearing him over all the horns and noises from the street.

When we got back to her apartment she helped me look up miracle ear hearing aids prices and I decided that I should get a hearing aid when I went home.

Despite having trouble hearing I had a wonderful trip and am getting a hearing aid this week.

New House, New Bathroom

I have mention in my previous post that we just moved in to this new house closer to the airport which is very accessible to my husband's work. Before we left our big house or should I say sold it. We did few remodeling in our bathroom. We had to that so it will get sold in the market as quick as possible. The bathroom in our master bedroom was sort of perfect already but the other one needed bathroom shower remodeling. The new owner was indeed lucky with our old house as it has luxury bath to where they can find comfort and relaxation. This house we are living right now is not as big as our house and it also have decent bathroom. I have notice they just have a Spokane Bathroom Remodel which I think the management did so the tenant will like the apartment. We have new house right now and new bathroom. I miss our old bathroom thought. Anyhow, bathroom is a reflection of our personality, the clean it is the better. It means we have clean body and have proper hygiene just like the bathroom. I really hate cleaning bathroom especially if it is very filthy. I am glad my husband is a clean freak and he knows how to keep the bathroom clean. Since we are just renting we need to keep this place spotless when we leave. I wonder if my husband can able to maintain the cleanliness of the bathroom as well as the house in general when i go back to the Philippines next week.

Keki? is that YOU?

Keki on the Back of the tricycle
                                       Keki needs a kiss
                                             Hey! its keki
                                       Keki needs a hug

Baby Dallas name this stuff animal as KEKI a combination of monkey and kitty, sometimes he called it monkey or kitty but most af the time he calls it KEKI and we think its really funny. He called most of his stuff toys monkey, even if its a bear or sometimes he called the fish nemo ducky because it has a red and yellow on it, He is so hilarious. Kids are really so cute what ever they do, give us so many emotions, both good and bad. Auntie Sam gave keki and so many toys for baby Dallas and he really appreciated everything, and said thank you with slobby kiss with it.
